Sheriff Lott Going Off the Deep End

In light of my recent national legal column on the NORML blog, at http://blog.norml.org/2009/02/10/the-marijuana-case-against-michael-phelps/

I have to add a comment about the Richland sheriff's media play yesterday.

Leon Lott, the Richland County, SC Sheriff, has now arrested eight people in association with the picture of Michael Phelps smoking from a marijuana bong. I'd post it here to refresh your memory, but as Spencer Hall says on another blog, " I fear Lott would send policemen to bust down my door with a warrant, and I really like my front door. It works just fine as it is. "

That's eight people charged, including the owner of the house, who was not even at the party in question. The house is technically in the Columbia police district. I am with Bill Maher on this one, who said last nite with Jay Leno, "I guess now that we have taken Osama bin Laden down, we have all the time in the world for this."

Okay, http://www.kentvent.com/ is really for my blogging on marijuana issues, but this Sheriff is off the deep end. He and his band of merry investigators are going to do more than NORML (http://www.norml.com/) could ever do to keep pot high in the news, when the nation should be focused on jobs and our economic health.

Thank you Mr. Lott, you loser.

  1. Norm - Please don't try shopping funny quotes and comments into pictures like you attempted with this Sheriff. It wasn't funny.

    Thanks.
