Alvin Entin Takes it With Him on Stage

This is about right for Alvin Entin. A 1938 play. But it did win 2 Oscars. A few centuries ago. Well, anyway the popular and well known defense attorney gives up the courtroom for the stage for a few weekends, with a performance in ‘You Can’t Take It With You.’ Definitely going to be there to do a review I can blog endlessly about.

Guessing Alvin will play the role of Kirby instead of the stenographer. Here he is sitting down pictured in a cast promo shot. The play is about a girl from a family of freethinkers who falls for the son of a conservative banker. We all love bankers today. Alvin should play the banker.

An avid theatergoer, Mr. Entin’s versatility includes his stunning thespian talents, and many, many performances as a member of the Pembroke Pines Performing Arts Players, or something like that. From what I understand, he is better at acting than fantasy baseball, but better still in the courtroom as an advocate for his clients.

So the gig is at the Plantation High School, on the Ira Kinder Stage, opening this weekend and running through March 15, with Sunday matinees.
