Dallas, Ronald K., the son of the late James A. Dallas and Marjorie Sweet Dallas, and a native from Fort Lauderdale, died Friday at the age of 57. Ron was serving as a Chief Assistant Public Defender at the time of his death.
Ron received both his undergraduate degree and his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. Ronald was a legal professional who fought for client's rights. He was a brother and an uncle, as well as a friend to so many. Mr. Dallas leaves his sister, Dr. Michele Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, FL; brother, James A. Dallas, II, Chicago, IL; two nieces, Lindsey Powell, Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Nicole Dallas, Chicago, IL; and a host of close relatives and friends.
Services will be Saturday, February 14th at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church Piney Grove, 4699 W. Oakland Park Blvd., Lauderhill. There will also be a viewing on Friday, February 13th between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm at Barbara Falowski Funeral Home, 300 SW 6th Street, Fort Lauderdale and the family will be embracing the community for a viewing at Piney Grove on Friday evening, February 13th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Interment will follow the service at Lauderdale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Ronald K. Dallas Tuition Scholarship Fund at St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
