Looking ahead, the Court will hear 18 cases in its February and March sessions. Two cases are potential landmark civil rights cases, Law.com reports: one, a challenge to the heart of the Voting Rights Act, NAMUD v. Holder, and another, Ricci v. DeStefano, raising issues of reverse discrimination and disparate impact in promotion tests for Connecticut firefighters. Holder? The guy's in office a week and already has got sued.
But seriously, as long as we can keep them away from the criminal justice system, we will be all right.
